Hotel Blique by Nobis
Sweden , Stockholm

Timeless elegance meets innovative technologies

Only open to its guests for four years - and yet full of history: Hotel Blique by Nobis in Stockholm is a place where art, architecture and creativity meet in a special way. In 1930, the world-famous architect Sigurd Lewerentz built a warehouse for the Philipps family in Gävlegaton. Even then, Lewerentz knew how to combine modernity with centuries of history, making his works timeless. Simplicity, elegance and a careful selection of materials make his buildings a unique setting.

The hotel rooms captivate with soft grey tones and a selection of exquisite designer furniture.

Almost 100 years later, renowned architect Gert Wingårdh has created a modern hotel from the listed warehouse with a design concept that pays homage to the tradition and legacy left behind by Lewerentz. Numerous players worked together under the direction of Gert Wingårdh and combined timeless materials such as leather or oak with the industrial base. The result is a ravishing ambience with local flair that is urban yet warm and inviting.

In the heart of the Swedish capital Stockholm, right where the up-and-coming art district Hagastaden merges with the popular Vasastaden, the design hotel is now located. The Nobis Hospitality Group is a family-run group of exquisite hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and event venues in Stockholm that are now also expanding successfully internationally.

Each destination is unique and highlights its distinctive personality and history - including Blique by Nobis, which has been welcoming guests since 2019. Not only true art lovers feel in good hands at Blique by Nobis: Together with the gastronomic diversity and the innovative bars and shopping jewels of Stockholm, which are centrally located, countless possibilities are offered for an unforgettable stay.

This design concept is consistently reflected in the 249 rooms, two restaurants, bars and flexible meeting and event rooms. The hotel's own roof terrace invites you to enjoy a fantastic view over the entire city. The large inner courtyard, adorned with numerous plants, opens up a place of relaxation and recreation. The combination of soft grey tones with a selection of exquisite designer pieces also brings the industrial style to life in the hotel rooms.

The sanitary equipment should also skilfully express a harmonious connection between timeless elegance and innovative technology. In this special ambience, the high-end products from TECE find their appropriate use and fit perfectly into the aesthetics and design concept of the hotel: The black surface of the TECEnow toilet push plate sets high-quality accents and achieves exciting colour contrasts in the lightly tiled bathrooms. In addition to the visual appearance, the TECE product also scores with a pleasant operating feel: the rich, mechanical feel of the rubber-buffered actuation button contributes to the high-quality overall impression. The actuator plate also features the tried-and-tested dual-flush technology, which enables both a small - for economical consumption - and a large flush volume.

In addition, the toilet modules also meet the country-specific features of the technical design. This is because the timber construction method common to Scandinavian countries requires a high level of protection against moisture damage. With conventional toilet modules, sensitive wooden constructions must therefore be protected by an elaborate seal in front of and behind the cistern. TECEprofil toilet modules for the Scandinavian market offer a clever solution here: thanks to the Safetybag, a watertight bag made of strong ageing-resistant material (which encloses the cistern), only one sealing level is required in front of the wall - the time-consuming installation of a watertight barrier behind the module is no longer necessary. The water that escapes in the event of a leak, e.g. due to frost damage, is collected in the safety bag, drained off in front of the wall into the bathroom and can then flow away in the obligatory floor drain.
