Masaryčka – Prague's latest architectural flagship

Since 2024, the historic Praha Masarykovo nádraží railway station has been home to the Masaryčka building complex: a new dynamic centre in the heart of Prague. The unique design by world-renowned London-based architects Zaha Hadid creates a prominent eye-catcher that brings a new and refreshing design quality to the streets of Prague's city centre. However, it is not only in the design of the façade that those responsible have paid attention to quality and excellence, as the high-quality TECEflex composite pipe system has been installed inside the new buildings. In addition, TECEprofil, TECEvelvet, TECEsolid and TECEfilo were chosen for installation, as were the elegant TECEneo shower toilets in the new Masaryčka branch of the popular German restaurant chain ‘L'Osteria’.

A futuristic play of curved lines in the Czech capital

Upon its completion in 2024, Masaryčka was awarded the prestigious ‘Building of the Year Award’ and recognised as the most significant Czech architectural and construction project of the year. The impressive, extraordinary building prevailed against 120 other entries in the 32nd year of the award. The main organiser of the competition is the Czech Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Czech Chamber of Licensed Engineers and Technicians in Construction and the Association of Building Contractors.

Design and function – hand in hand

Masaryčka – designed by renowned architectural firm Zaha Hadid – is located in the immediate vicinity of the historic Masaryk Railway Station in the centre of Prague. There, it delights residents and visitors alike with its attractive, modern design and innovative urban planning approach.

The building complex offers office space as well as publicly accessible design spaces for relaxation, thus contributing to the revitalisation of the city centre. The project is highly regarded in architectural circles for its unusual and creative design and its contribution to the cityscape. Masaryčka is a prime example of the combination of modern architecture with clever planning ideas for urban spaces.

German-Italian hospitality in the heart of Prague

L'Osteria offers its guests traditional Italian delicacies: from appetising antipasti to exquisite pasta creations and tempting stone-baked pizzas. It is a place where you can spend many pleasant hours with family and friends. The open, welcoming environment invites you to linger and combines industrial motifs with a romantic retro atmosphere. The Masaryčka branch of the popular German restaurant chain is one of several Czech establishments that rely on high-quality TECE sanitary technology for their guest toilets.

Elegant and durable – sanitary technology from TECE

In the bathrooms of L'Osteria, the managers opted for high-quality TECEprofil installation walls, a TECEneo toilet and TECE flush technology to create a perfectly coordinated overall concept. On the outside, the TECEvelvet series of toilet flush plates and the TECEfilo-Solid electronic urinal flush valves enhance the guest toilets.

TECEneo
Form meets function: the practical cyclon flush and the water- and dirt-repellent cera clean surface coating of the TECEneo effectively support cleaning staff in their daily work.

These impress with their minimalist elegance and flat design in front of the wall. The elegantly minimalist TECEneo shower toilet impresses with its timeless design and remarkably quiet cyclone flush, which effectively flushes the ceramic. In addition, the water- and dirt-repellent CeraClean surface coating allows water to simply roll off. These features not only improve the experience for guests, but also make everyday cleaning easier for cleaning staff. The high-quality flush plates from the TECEsolid series harmoniously round off the overall look. In addition to their elegant, minimalist design, they impress with their high-quality workmanship and particularly robust construction. This makes the flush plates ideal for use in commercial buildings.

The planners also opted for high-quality TECEflex fittings and pipes for the 22,000 square metres of office space in the elegant, futuristic new building. With these high-quality composite pipes, the planners have ensured that the extensive heating and sanitary installations in Masaryčka will run smoothly for many years to come.
