Swissôtel The Stamford

When it opened in 1986, the luxury hotel, designed by star architect Ieoh Ming Pei, was the tallest hotel in the world at 226 meters – and even today, it remains one of the tallest in all of Southeast Asia. From the roof terrace of the 73-story building, the view extends to the nearby islands of Malaysia and Indonesia. But the 5-star hotel, managed by Accor, sets absolute standards not only architecturally: With 15 different restaurants and bars, a 10,000 m² convention center, a fitness center, tennis courts, several pools, and the exclusive Willow Stream Spa covering over 4,500 m², the Swissôtel The Stamford is the epitome of luxury and comfort.

In 2019, the iconic hotel underwent a comprehensive multi-million dollar renovation and modernization. The redesign was undertaken by the award-winning design firm Wilson Associates, which set itself the task of combining Asian and Swiss interior design elements in an innovative way.

The result: 1,252 highly comfortable rooms and suites that exude pure elegance and carefree luxury. The interior design experts were inspired by Swiss chalets for the material palette and opted for a stylish mix of teak furniture, natural colors, and minimalist seating. Iconic Swiss features such as the Red Cross and mountain motifs permeate the spatial concept as meticulously detailed accents, embodying the typical Swiss hospitality for which Swissôtel The Stamford is world-famous.

The sophisticated design concept continues in the bathrooms: marble walls, floors, and countertops, combined with wood details and contrasting black accessories, create an extravagant look. The champagne-colored aluminum wall paneling behind the vanity and toilet is another special highlight. To create a seamless look, TECE manufactured 1,261 color-coordinated toilet flush plates specifically for the Swissôtel The Stamford. The tailor-made TECEnow flush plates, in a metallic champagne shimmer, blend seamlessly into the room design and, with their extra-flat design of just 5 mm, underscore the understated elegance of the interior design concept.

The 1,261 TECE Octa cisterns also meet the highest demands in the smallest of spaces: The toilet cisterns, with a compact and space-saving installation depth of just 8 cm, were specially developed for installation in narrow walls – a common feature in hotels – and, with a water volume of 9.5 liters, ensure optimal drainage behind the scenes. TECE's sanitary products, with their state-of-the-art technology and high-quality design, contribute to the unique overall concept of the Swissôtel The Stamford.
