A TECEdrainprofile shower channel always consists of:
A: Stainless steel chassis
B: Trap
C: Adapter (For concrete installation)
Accessories
Stainless steel channel
TECEdrainprofile is available in four lengths, from 800 to 1,200 millimetres. The stainless steel channel can be shortened at both ends to fit the dimensions of the shower area.
Trap
The TECEdrainprofile range offers a choice of two traps: a flat trap and a standard trap. A factory-fitted Seal System sealing sleeve is included, providing a secure and tight seal with a simple click.
Accessories
Additional accessories, including assembly feet, the Drainbase sound insulation mat and a hair trap, complete the TECEdrainprofile modular system.
Blocking out odours and vermin
Bad odours in shower drains often occur when drains are used infrequently, installations have insufficient ventilation, or the sealing water is displaced due to pressure fluctuations in the drainage system. TECE addresses this issue with a new mechanical odour trap for the TECEdrainprofile shower channel.
The odour trap works using sealing lip membranes and operates without sealing water. The weight of the water is enough to open the membrane, which closes as soon as the water has passed, preventing the entry of sewer gases, vermin or foreign matter, and stopping the siphon from drying out. The new odour trap can be retrofitted easily and simply inserted into the drain without the need for screws or tools.
Vertical solution!
With the new vertical drain, the TECEdrainprofile shower channel is now suitable for applications where the drain pipe needs to be routed vertically through the ceiling, as is sometimes required on ground floors, in cellars or in utility rooms. With a construction height of just 47 millimetres, it is the flattest drain in the range, making it particularly suitable for existing buildings with low screed heights. It meets the DIN EN 1253 standard with a sealing water height of 50 millimetres and a drainage capacity of over 0.8 litres per second.
As with all TECEdrainprofile drains, the vertical drain includes practical construction-time protection, the clickable Seal System sealing sleeve, odour traps and sound insulation strips for flush-to-wall installation.
Everything is safe!
When using ceiling bushings, fire protection requirements must be met, except in single-family houses. The new vertical drain for TECEdrainprofile is compatible with the TECE FireStop El 120 DN 50 fire protection set, available as an accessory, which can also be used with TECEdrainline. The set comes with ETA approval and a fire resistance class of El 120.
