Scandinavian-style design and technology
Just a few steps from the coast, where the treetops sway gently in the wind, a new, exclusive residential quarter is being built: Kvirkelhusen. Five modern apartment buildings are planned, which will be realised in two construction phases and optimally combine living comfort, contemporary design and sustainability. The first construction phase has already been successfully completed: 42 stylish flats in three elegant wooden buildings have already been completed. Two further residential complexes are currently under construction. Each individual building is symbolic of Scandinavian design expertise and technical sophistication. TECE toilet modules with Safetybag for safety in timber construction
The local plumbing and building services company Assemblin VS Lund was responsible for the sanitary facilities in the residential quarter. In order to meet the high standards of quality, flexibility and efficiency, the installation professionals relied on sanitary solutions from TECE. The timber construction method commonly used in Sweden requires a particularly high level of protection against moisture damage, which is why TECE toilet modules with Safetybag were the ideal solution. This is because, while conventional toilet modules require sensitive timber structures to be protected by complex sealing in front of and behind the cistern, the TECE solution significantly reduces the amount of work involved. Thanks to the Safetybag, a waterproof bag made of strong, age-resistant PVC, only one sealing layer in front of the wall is necessary – the complex installation of a waterproof barrier behind the module is completely eliminated.
‘The toilet modules with Safetybag from TECE, which were developed specifically for the Scandinavian market, have a major advantage over many other products in that the sealing is already pre-installed around the cistern. This simplifies the work and saves a lot of time on large projects,’ says site manager Urban Nielsen from Assemblin, explaining his choice. In addition to saving time, the solution also impresses with its reliable protection against costly water damage and contributes to long-term and safe use.
Stylish details in the bathroom
Furthermore, the elegant flush plates from the TECEnow series are ideal for use in all 42 flats. The toilet flush plates in subtle, classic chrome contribute to the high level of user comfort for residents with their dual flush technology and rubber-buffered flush buttons. Straight lines and an extra-flat frame give the toilet flush a sophisticated look. This makes it a stylish addition to modern, understated bathrooms.
‘As we already wanted to use TECE toilet modules and flush plates, we also suggested installing TECEneo – a suggestion that was welcomed by the client, CA Fastigheter, and led to a perfectly coordinated overall solution for the bathrooms,’ reports Urban. The elegantly minimalist TECEneo toilet ceramic impresses with its timeless design and remarkably quiet cyclon flush, which effectively flushes the ceramic. In addition, the water- and dirt-repellent cera clean surface coating allows water to simply roll off.
The TECEneo toilet ceramic is also available as a shower toilet. In models with cold or cold and hot water, the controls are located on the side of the toilet ceramic for simple, intuitive operation and easy cleaning. No power connection is required.
